My pallet is simple 6 colours and water.

Having lived in France and Wiltshire I now live in West Sussex where the changes in weather never cease to amaze me. Working with a limited palette I am searching for those little moments that the landscape provides. Each day the light creates a fresh landscape, a misty morning, a golden sunrise, the rain driving across the Pulborough Brooks, the storm clouds gathering, the long lazy sun filled days of summer, the winter snow. A never ending vista of beauty and colour. My pallet is simple 6 colours and water to attempt to capture the magical ancient landscapes.

All of the watercolours are painted directly onto paper without using pencil sketch lines. This I believe allows for much freer mark making and gives the images a greater confidence. They are all signed beneath the painted image and can be framed in two ways. Either trimmed or as a whole page (see below). All images are 25cm x 50cm trimmed size.

Over the years I have exhibited in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, the Discerning Eye, The Royal Watercolour Society, The Sunday Times Watercolour Competition and in various group shows.
